The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of adding ash to the loop seal in a 15 kWth CFB. This experimental test comprised three distinct trials, each utilizing 2,500 grams of sand and the incorporation of 50 and 100 grams of biomass ash, respectively. The experimental results show that the addition of ash to the loop seal affected the operational performance. the circulation rate did not occur due to voids in the loop seal when 100 grams of ash was added. This research provided insight into the effects of full biomass firing in CFB boilers.
