[ABSTRACT ]

This study reviews the development of electricity utilization and renewable energy in port electrification. It highlights the need for more research on environmentally friendly renewable energy sources for ports. The study analyzes data from Scopus-indexed journals and finds that solar energy accounts for 29.11% of renewable energy sources, followed by wind energy at 27.85%, biomass, and wave energy at 10.13%, and geothermal, hydro, and others at 7.59%. Port electrification can reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency. By integrating electricity and renewable energy technologies, ports can contribute to a greener and more sustainable economy.
