Degree Requirement
The GA curriculum after FY2019 has been released.

1. Credit Requirement:
A minimum of 77 credits are required for a doctor’s degree according to the list shown in Table 1.
In addition, students must earn at least 40 credits from among all 77 required credits before undertaking the Qualifying Examination (QE) which is held at the end of the second academic year.
2. Residency Requirement:
A doctoral candidate must spend the equivalent of at least 5 academic years in residence at the Green Asia Program.
*A student who has a high standard of achievement may graduate after submission of a doctoral thesis in less than 5 academic years (Upon agreement of a Faculty meeting).
3. Qualifying Examination:
Students must undertake and pass a qualifying examination (QE) at the end of the 2nd academic year. Before undertaking the QE, students must satisfy several criteria (See more detailed information).
4. Doctoral thesis
Students must submit a doctoral thesis, and pass an oral examination held by the Green Asia thesis committee.
