All GA students will undertake a joint industry and academia research internship lasting approximately one month.

As an example of the possible internship locations, some students of the 1st year class participated in internships to the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEIP), the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the University of Waterloo.

Students are invited to domestic and overseas collaborating institutions (1 week) to observe the current affairs, and participate in seminars and debates.

Students are also required to intern at a partnered overseas university (2 months)

Through these experiences, the students will develop five key abilities (research, practical knowledge, global perspective and leadership).
