How do we calculate your GPA?

For the purposes of QE and other evaluations, your GPA is calculated by using the

following rules and equations;

GPT = Σ (GP x CC)

GPT: Grade Point Total

GP: Grade Point

CC: Credit Count

GPA = GPT / TCC

GPA: Grade Point Average

TCC: Total Credit Count

Target subjects in QE

- Important subjects for the purpose of QE are all those subjects within the six core

 modules of Research, Practical English, Industrial Systems, Internship, and Social

 Environment and Economic Systems.

- The subjects categorized Special/Extended Studies (Main/Sub specialties) in which

 you have achieved the highest GPA are used to compile the 16 credits necessary

 for graduation. Please see the following example as a guide.

  Special/Extended Studies (Main/Sub specialties)

Students can view their current personal evaluation by accessing the website (https://ku-portal.kyushu-u.ac.jp/campusweb/top.do). Unfortunately the KU system only allows an A to D grade classification to be displayed. If you require the specific GPA for a certain subject please ask the GA office. Additionally the GA office will announce the GP for all students once the semester has been completed.
