Welcome to the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES) at Kyushu University, one of Japan’s top research universities.

With a focus on solving various environmental problems and contributing to the
realization of a sustainable society through innovative research, IGSES has committed to interdisciplinary graduate education in the research fields of material, energy, and the environment since its establishment for over 30 years. IGSES is a relatively young graduate school compared with Kyushu University which has a history of more than a century and has welcomed many students and researchers from various research fields, universities, and countries. Our goal is to prepare our students to become leading engineers and researchers who are able to tackle the worlds challenges with their wide, deep and advanced knowledge.
