    Degrees awarded: Master of Engineering/ Master of Science/ Mater of  Science and Engineering

    Duration: 2 years

    Enrollment: April 1st

    Course taught in Japanese

    This course is which most Japanese students belong to, thus, officially classified

    as a course taught in Japanese. However, in some departments, it is possible to

    earn the required credit from modules taught in English only. Therefore,

    if you want to enroll in a master course on April, but are not good at Japanese,

    it is desirable to consult with a prospective supervisor.

    A student has to earn at least 30 credits among designated modules as well

    as complete a master thesis approved by faculty committee.

    Required documents

    Application form, graduation certificate or statement that confirms expected graduation, academic record, letter of recommendation, Japanese Language certificate

     

    Screening

    Applicants are required to take a written examination and an interview held in IGSES, Fukuoka, Japan. The documents submitted is also used for the screening.

     

  • ✔ Entry Requirements

    (1) Those who have completed 16 years of formal education in countries other than Japan or who expect to complete 16 years of formal education by March 31, 2020.

    (2) Those who have received or are expected to receive a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree by March 31, 2020 by completing the minimum duration of studies be at least three years at the university or institution in foreign countries. (limited to those which have been evaluated the progress of education and research by the organizations certified by the government of said country or the relevant organizations or those which have been designated separately by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.) 

    (3) Those who have completed 15 years of formal education in countries other than Japan, and are judged to have received all the necessary credits with an excellent record.

    (4) Those who are judged to have an academic ability equal to or surpassing that of students who have graduated from a university, by individual screening according to the requirements for admission, and who will be 22 years old before or on March 31, 2020.
